Syllabus Focus Areas
The curriculum prepares you to think like a global Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Key domains covered on the 

  • Senior Advisor Role: Evaluating governance, stakeholder conflicts, and international financial institutions.
  • Investment Appraisal: Managing complex Net Present Value (NPV), Adjusted Present Value (APV), and international capital deployment.
  • Mergers & Acquisitions: Structuring growth strategies, valuation modeling (DCF, FCF), and takeover defense tactics.
  • Corporate Reconstruction: Orchestrating divestments, business re-organizations, and leveraged buyouts.
  • Advanced Risk Management: Hedging foreign exchange and interest rate volatility using derivatives (swaps, options, futures).
Exam Structure & Format
The exam is a 3-hour and 15-minute Computer-Based Exam (CBE). It requires a minimum 50% mark to pass.

  • Section A (50 Marks): One comprehensive, multi-part corporate case study. It features 40 technical marks and 10 professional skills marks.
  • Section B (50 Marks): Two compulsory 25-mark scenario questions. Each contains 20 technical marks and 5 professional skills marks.

The historical global pass rate sits stably between 44% and 47%. It ranks as one of the highly demanded, quantitative choices among the options papers.
